TEKO N-TYPE SOLAR MODULE PRODUCTION IS ON TESTING

Teko is on a process of production line upgrading, N-type solar module production line is on testing. New modules with TOPCon techwhich will be Teko’s new flagship product, will soon go online.

N-Type is widely recognized as the replacement of PERC to become the mainstream technology leading the coming generation. A efficiency increase by around 1% allows to install 3~5% more power capacity on same area, meanwhile reduce BOS significantly. The stronger power generating ability achieves 3~5% power gain under same capacity.

 

Under the reality that P-type PERC technology is approaching the theoretical efficiency limit of 24.5%, and perovskite solar technology is still far away from large-scale economic applications. The solar industry is all focusing on N-type solar technology to achieve higher benefits from the whole life cycle of solar power plants.

 

At present, there are two mainstream N-type technical routes, TOPCON and HJT. The performance of the two is similar, but TOPCON has a lower manufacturing cost in comparison, and can reach production by upgrading PERC cell and module production lines. Therefore, it is widely recognized by the industry as the most economical route.

TOPCon, the cutting edge tech of N-type, of which the theoretical efficiency limit is 28.7% . Compare with PERC, its mass production efficiency has improved by around 1%, bifacially improved by 10%, first year power degradation decreased by 1%, yearly liner power degradation decreased by 0.15%, temperature coefficient decreased by 0.05%, the better performance of N-TOPCON under weak illumination brings more power gain, as well. Based on a large number of empirical cases, the economic benefits of N-TOPCON have significantly exceeded P-PERC, a rapid replacement is ongoing.
